Itinerary

Suggested 11 day Itinerary
Day 1

Board your crewed or bareboat yacht located at Yacht Haven in the North East of Phuket and boarding for the night.

Day 2

Sailing  to the south passing some of the most beautiful islands imaginable such as Koh Ka and Koh Racha Yaï where we will make anchor for the evening, here you will get to enjoy the magnificent and splendid sunset (only between November to April).

Day 3 and 4

Wake up enjoy a lovely breakfast  and  sail towards Koh Rok-Nok, which will be our longest trip. Relax here for two days, swimming around in beautiful crystal clear waters where you can also participate in some impressive snorkeling. The coral reef is exceptionally beautiful in this place surrounded by white sandy beaches.

Take a walk in nature where you will find superb views in which you will encounter squirrels and if you are really lucky you may also get to view the giant lizards.

Day 5

Anchoring at Koh Ha Yaï, which is one of a small group of islands out in the ocean. With cliffs jetting out into the sea here you will find a beautiful white sandy beach that awaits your arrival (only between November to April).

Day 6 and 7

From Koh Ha Yaï, we will head towards Koh Pee-Pee which is classified as one of the three most reputed island of the world with its magnificent views and one of the most beautiful of beaches namely Maya Bay (Anchor overnight at the Maya Bay from November to April only).

Day 8

From Koh Pee-Pee, we will set sail to Ao Nang or Ralay, situated on the coast of Krabi. Stopover in Koh Kaï, where the low tide will enable you to walk from one island to another. Outstanding beaches each one more beautiful than the other awaits you.

Day 9 and 10

Excellent anchorages are to be found at the prestigious Phang Nga Bay. Secret lagoons, crystal clear waters together with the unspoilt beauty of this magical bay will be an unforgettable way end to your sailing vacation.

Sailing Conditions for Phuket

Perfect condition of sea and winds. The area of Phuket knows rarely strong winds and is dominated by a tropical monsoon climate with two distinct seasons separated by two months called inter-seasons.

  • Beginning of November the winds slowly turn again to Northeast.
  • The sunniest months are December to April but November, July and August are very pleasant as well.
  • The temperature is nearly all year around between 28°C and 35°C. The temperature of the sea is between 28°C and 32°C.
  • There are no hurricanes in this navigation zone and winds exceed very seldom 5 knots.
Winds
  • Mid November to Mid April: Winds from Northeast dominate widely with speeds from 10 to 15 knots. The sea is calm and the weather sunny; during April winds slow down.
  • Towards mid April the winds slow down to be replaced by Southwest winds.
  • In May winds from Southeast get established with slightly speeds. - From June to October: Winds from South West dominate with cloudy spells and "gusts of wind" exceed very rarely 30 knots. The sea stays generally calm with some short choppy periods.
Tides

They are semi-diurnal with intervals of app. 6 hours between high and low tide. The tidal range is about 3 meters in spring tide and 1,50 meters in neap tide. In shallow areas like the Bay of, Phang Nga tides can create currents that might be quite strong.

The Sea

The swell is generally moderate and the sea is very seldom rough . The troughs reach 1 to 2 meters.
